Driftwise Travel is a small independent research studio for travellers choosing where to stay. Our current guides compare Bangkok districts and Phuket beach areas before the hotel shortlist begins.

What we are—and are not

These guides are public-source desk research. They are not personal hotel reviews, on-site inspections, live booking or price services, safety guarantees, or accessibility audits. No hotel or restaurant pays for placement.

How a recommendation is built

1. Fit: identify the traveller, daily plans and location problem first.
2. Friction: check rail, river, traffic, hills, heat, noise, transfer time and the real first or last kilometre.
3. Evidence: keep every public score attached to its platform, scale, review count and checked date.
4. Trade-off: publish a reason to pause beside every reason to choose.

Sources and public reviews

Transport, tourism and timetable claims link to relevant official operators or authorities where practical. Hotel and restaurant signals use public aggregate scores and repeated review patterns from the named platform. Booking.com and Tripadvisor scales are never blended. Individual guest wording, hotel photography and third-party editorial copy are not republished.

AI assistance and images

AI tools assist with original editorial illustrations, information structure and language editing. Travel artwork is labeled as AI-created atmosphere and must not be read as a photograph of a named hotel, restaurant or guaranteed current condition. Factual claims remain tied to dated, visible public sources that readers can recheck.

Dates, corrections and changes

Scores, review counts, fares, timetables, prices and local conditions change. Each destination shows its evidence date, and readers should confirm live details before paying or travelling. To report an outdated source, factual error or unclear disclosure, email xiaoyingchen0829@163.com.
